Disability Services
The Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other related state and local requirements regarding students and applicants with disabilities, guide the services provided to qualified students with disabilities at Bastyr University. Under these laws, no qualified individual with a disability shall be denied access to or participation in services, programs and activities of Bastyr University. In carrying out the University’s policy regarding students and applicants with disabilities, Bastyr University is committed to providing equitable access to learning opportunities for all students.
Bastyr University welcomes qualified students with disabilities (e.g. mental health, attentional, learning, chronic health, sensory, or physical) who meet the technical standards of the program, with or without reasonable accommodations. If you are an applicant with a disability who needs accommodations to complete the application or has questions regarding reasonable accommodations for technical standards, please contact the Student Access and Accommodations (SAA) Office by calling 425.602.3337, emailing studentaccess@bastyr.edu, or visiting us in person in room 236 on the Kenmore campus.

Our vision is to promote the full participation and inclusion for students with disabilities in health and professional programs by promoting a greater understanding and awareness of inclusion, diversity, and accessibility issues.
